Ojaleshi grows on the steep slopes of Samegrelo and almost nowhere else, trained up trees in the old way that gives it its name. Light-bodied and gently sweet, with cherry and raspberry rather than the darker fruit of a Kakhetian red. Rare even inside Georgia.
